The Athlete and the Genius Part Two

TK sat there wondering where this was all going and how she was going to fix it. She thought that Carmen had forgiven her for what she had done but obviously not. This was going to take more work on her part to convince Carmen that she was real and what they had was real. She wasn't going to abandon her now. She turned off the light and went to her side of the small bed and slipped under the covers. Carmen was lying on her back and she didn't turn and cuddle up against her like she normally did. TK wanted to say something but she didn't know where to start. She thought about saying that she was sorry again but she didn't think that was what Carmen wanted to hear. The silence began to build to the point that TK thought that she was going to scream, then she heard Carmen clear her throat.
