He reaches out with his hand and touches her hand. A smile forms at the corner of her lips. It has been some time since they shared a quiet moment like now.

She turns her face towards him. Her eyes find his smile but his eyes were closed.

The need to return the affection fills her. Her hand turns and her fingers slide comfortably between his fingers. There is no resistance from him, only a sense of comfort and invitation in the way his fingers adjust to intertwine with her fingers.

As her fingers settle comfortably, his hand lifts. Her eyes turn to their hands. She follows the movement towards his face.

Without opening his eyes, she watches as his lips touch the back of her hand. It is a soft kiss but she feels his affection much more keenly in that touch.

Unable to resist, she leans forward and kiss the back of his hand in return. It is at this point, she sees his eyes open. His lips break contact with her hand. A big smile forms on his lips.

"Hi." he says, quietly.
