I had pulled a muscle in my left leg and after a few days my leg began to swell to the point that it was quite painful. At my age, an injury like this could become a bad thing. I do not like ER's but I had to do something. My loving wife finally talked me into going.

After going through all the paperwork and the long wait, I was taken into the back room. There a young aid went on with the normal process and asked the normal questions. Then she informed me that the doctor would see me shortly. I asked who was on duty and was told that Doctor Ran was in the ER tonight. "What is he like," I asked? It's not a he, it is a she, was the reply. Great! A woman doctor, I thought to myself. I love women doctors. They seem to take more interest in your problem and undressing in front of a woman is not a bad thing either.

When I arrived at the examining room, the nurse told me to take off my pants and put on the hospital robe. Now let me inject here. I usually do not wear underwear and haven't since Viet Nam, but I did this night because I knew I would be taking my pants off. Back to the story. I did as told and the little robe did not hide much. I didn't mind though, but my wife, who was in the room too, told me to sit down and keep that robe closed.

The doctor came in very shortly and to my disappointment, it was a middle-aged man. The other doctor had gotten off duty. Just my luck.
