April and I became friends when we were 13 or 14. She was a bit of tomboy. Sports were the only thing I knew. I was just discovering girls. I had no idea what to do to have a relationship with a girl. Luckily April knew about baseball and football. She loved to play basketball. She was every bit as tough as any of us guys, and she was as tall as most us too. I remember feeling something that I had never felt before when she would roughhouse with me.
