Raymond was busy at work in the laboratory. He was frustrated. The project he was working on was not going well. Nothing he tried seemed to solve the problem. He was not in a good mood.

The phone rang and he answered it. It was Miss Bishop. She was the head of the research department. She told him that she wanted to see him immediately in her office. Raymond got the feeling that this was not going to be pleasant.

Her secretary told him to go right in. She was waiting for him. Miss Bishop was sitting behind her large desk. She motioned to Raymond to sit in one of the chairs in front of her. Then she removed her glasses.

"Raymond, you have been working on your latest project for quite a while. Are you close to completing it?" "No, Miss Bishop, I am having a very hard time with it." "That's not good. My superiors are on my back. They want this project completed. You have one week to finish. Do I make myself clear?" "Yes. I will do my best to finish." "You better, or else you may find yourself without a job."

As Raymond walked back to the lab, he thought to himself, "What a bitch. She has no right to talk to me like that. I've been the best researcher the company has ever had."
