Eating in the student union was rare for Tovar because he hated it when kids came up to him while eating and asked him some inane, dumbass question. On this day, however, his friend and sometime lover Lisa Larimer had talked him into it. She was a thin, attractive English instructor in her thirties while he was a tenured professor of the visual and literary arts in his late forties. His full name was Cristobal Tovar, of mixed Italian and Spanish descent, but everyone from students to friends to family simply called him "Tovar." He was fit, six foot, tanned, and usually wore his head shaved. Over the years he'd become known as a legend for his contacts in the literary and film industries, but more than his knowing some famous people it was the fact that they seemed to seek him out and he hardly gave them a second glance. He knew this and he loved to add to the perceived Tovar persona whenever he could.

"I can't believe you fucked his wife," Lisa whispered as she swallowed some salad. "I bet you fucked around on me when we were dating. You're such a bastard, Tovar."
