It was a rainy night in September, and Cindy wanted nothing more than to be at home cuddled up on the couch with her dog in front of the tv. Instead, she was running through the parking lot to her office across the street, attempting to cover her head with a newspaper to no avail. She was going into the building this late at night for a special meeting with her boss, one that was sure to end in a nice salary increase and a corner office with a view, which is why despite the gloomy weather she was in a damn good mood.

She walked into the lobby, tossed her soggy newspaper into the trash and high-tailed it to the ladies room, nodding a curt hello to the male receptionist on her way. She felt his eyes watch her as she entered the restroom and her cheeks burned red when she looked in the mirror and realized why. Her pale pink button down blouse became nearly flesh toned in the rain and her nipples were erect from entering an air-conditioned building out of the storm. She frantically brushed her hair, wiped her face, and tried to dry out her blouse under the automatic hand dryer. She glanced at her watch and bolted from the bathroom to the elevator, pressing the third floor button.

She walked confidently down the hall. She had butterflies but wasn't sure why- she was a shoe-in for the promotion, the only person in the division who had the potential to hack it in a higher level job. As far as she was concerned this meeting was just for kicks.
