Ginger sat on the steps of their house, waiting for her husband, William, to get home. This was their first wedding anniversary. One year ago today, they had a grand wedding and a honeymoon. After the honeymoon, William settled back into his job. He was almost always working late and sometimes into the early morning hours. He had promised ginger that today; he would be home early and take her to a special dinner for their anniversary. William should be home at any moment. Ginger was watching her neighbors, Larry and Frank, toss a football back and forth. Larry and frank had graduated from high school and were waiting for acceptance into college.
