It's 10 o'clock on Monday night. The housemates are all upstairs. I survey the rec. room. It's pretty big, taking up about half of the basement. There is plenty of seating for a houseful of sorority sisters to party or watch a movie. I'm not supposed to be here. It's against "the rules", but we all know how often college kids follow the rules. I feel guilty for shirking my studies tonight. I'll have to make up for it tomorrow. I remind myself of the closet I'm to hide in if anyone comes to the door. Then, I turn my gaze and lustful eyes to my partners in crime...

Cathy pops open a drawer in the stereo cabinet and instantly finds the CD she's looking for. I've never heard it before, but it's a nice blend of Pink Floyd and Incubus. Funny: in today's market, there is more music than you can listen to in a lifetime. I'm encouraged to not be a wimp and finish my drink so they can refill it. Megan reaches under one of the couches and pulls out a Tupperware. She opens it, produces a small, wooden pipe and a film canister filled with my favorite plant. We all take mondo hits from the mini pipe, holding the smoke in as long as possible before exhaling into a vent, which leads to the laundry room. It's really good stuff.
