My mind had been racing for weeks. My travels had brought me back from my home in Ireland to Chicago, as my Port of Entry into the United States. The Airbus A-330 circled over the near western suburbs on it's approach to O'Hare Field. Aer Lingus Flight 125 was on time, and lining up for touchdown on runway 29 right.

The familiar feeling of landing brought me to my senses as the last vestiges of my dream faded. Stretching, I woke myself up just as the wheels squealed their kiss of the pavement. The Airbus reversed the turbo fans, and dumped the lift, slowing us down. The usual taxiing around occurred as we made our way to gate M7 in Terminal 5.

After the usual governmental procedures at customs, I found my limo ride out to the Suburbs. It was a pleasant ride as I headed out to my Mother's to collect the car that I keep here in the States. My visit, this time, was for a very special reason, and totally personal.

For a long time now, I had been great friends with a very special lady. We had known each other since high school, and in the 20 years after, our orbits had crossed a couple of times. Since the last time we connected, I felt an electricity from her that matched no other woman I have met in years. Our life situations had been difficult in our lives, respectively, and I had to see her. There were so many things I had to say.
