I knew that the meeting with her girls might not be a pleasant one and might not go exactly as Diane expected. I waited for her in the sun room, with a pitcher of MaiTai's on ice and a good book.

"So how did it go?" I asked "are we being ostracized by your children?"

"The last time I looked," I said, "I was a big girl capable of making my own decisions and no one tells me what to do with my body. You said you left them with a lot to think about but you didn't say what that was."

"Well, I hope you won't object, but I invited them to a clothing optional pool party. I can't say that went over big though. They said they didn't really know you and they wanted to talk to your girls ...
