Conquering my defenses

I was driving home from another long day of workouts and training the troops. Yes, I am a drill instructor. I am usually on the base, most of the time, but sometimes I need to get away. I have a one-bedroom apartment I keep in town. The rent is cheap and I can have my little flings then move on.

I am not married not any more which is a good thing for both of us. To be perfectly frank, we travel in different directions. I make time for sex but I don't have time for love. Life works for me, I am not interested in women. Too much heartache. I am not looking to be a Daddy again. With the two kids I have, I can take care of them and life works out.

I have concluded that I am gay. No need to tell my superiors. I don't let my two worlds collide. I have only a few years left and then it will be smooth sailing from there.
