Daphne choked back her laughter as she listened to the chaotic reaction to Sally's proposal. Trust Sally to shake 'em up, she thought. Finally, it seemed clear that the proposal would not pass, despite an undercurrent of interest and curiosity in several of the voices. Too bad, she thought.
