I pulled into my parking lot ready to get inside. The sun was scorching and it was easily over one hundred degrees on this Saturday afternoon. The heat wave was in full force, and the forecasters were predicting at least four more days of this intense heat. I had just come from the supermarket picking up gallons of juice and water. Staying hydrated was the understatement of the week.

One thing I like about the complex that I live in is the people who live here. Most occupants are young, single or married with minimal kids. A lot of college kids hang out here but during the summer it is pretty much dead. I didn't mind. Today is one of those days were I wanted to crank the AC and watch some baseball. As I approached the door, Angela, my next door neighbor had opened hers. She stood there with her very revealing bikini swimsuit barely covering her assets. She had the central air blasting as I felt a quick wave of coolness before it was swallowed up by the heat.

"Hey Jay, I see you are stocking up. Way to go," she said sarcastically.

"Yeah I know, can't pass out, you would have to carry me or perform CPR," I responded.

"Now we wouldn't want that right," she replied.
