This is story about a fantastic cruise around the Mediterranean that changed our lives in many ways. I would advise it to anyone wanting a holiday of a lifetime. It was not only the incredible sightseeing in such a comfortable and easy situation for a holiday but we got some unexpected spice thrown in that still benefits our personal lives.

We arrived in Rome about eleven in the morning from Paris by overnight train. We went on a tour of the Vatican City that afternoon before boarding our cruise ship the Sky Princess. After the evening meal that night we went to a ‘meet the crew and passengers' night where the Captain and crew offered plenty of free drinks. Both my wife Lyn and myself where getting pretty high from the drink and the mood onboard. It was all very exciting and romantic.

We met some really nice couples and singles from lots of places in the world. We felt very much at ease with a great guy from Ireland called Niall, with whom we just gelled. We laughed at the same things and had similar interests. He and his wife had booked the cruise months ago but about three weeks ago his wife was asked by the firm she works for, to go to a city in China on some very important company business. Niall's wife insisted that he continue with the holiday and she was going to meet him for the last few days of the cruise and then they were going to holiday in Italy.
