Earth Day Rally By DG Hear

I would like to thank Mistress Lynn for her valuable editing. She makes my story a much better read.

To begin, here is a brief explanation of what Earth Day is and when it began.

Earth Day is one of two observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. They're intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment. The United Nations celebrates an Earth Day each year on the March equinox, a tradition founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969. Many countries celebrate a second Earth Day, founded in 1970 by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, on April 22.

My story has nothing to do with the cleaning up of the earth or environment, although I will be mentioning the earth in other ways. Sit back, and I hope you enjoy my Earth Day story.
