My name is Ray; I'm 40 years old and am married to Mary. Mary and I have been together about six years. This is her second marriage, my first. Her daughter Becky lives with us and is a joy to be around. I've tried to be as much of a father figure to her as I could to try and make up for her biological father running out on her and her mother when Becky was only five.

Becky is a high school senior and is quite popular and is involved in all sorts of things at school including basketball, drill team, and the honor society. She seems to have guys hanging around most weekends, but she's not going out with any one guy for the most part. Becky's good friend Jessica is also a senior and the two of them hang out at our house a great deal of the time. Jessica has had a bit of a rough time herself as Becky has related to Mary & me on occasion. She also has a step-father, but the guy is a total asshole and is frequently yelling and screaming at Jessica for the slightest of infractions and her mother doesn't stand up for her own daughter. Jessica has found it much more comfortable to be at our house than to spend time at her own house.

Becky had put together a couple of colleges she wanted to go visit in the spring and she and Mary left for a three day road trip to visit the colleges so Becky could narrow down her application process.
