Timberline Group Camp Sites... it was a beautiful place. Fresh mountain air, great terrain, lots of trails. He had been hesitant to go up, but the guys insisted and they had been planning their ATV trip for a while now. The three guys got up to the camp site around 11:00am, and set up their tents and things before hopping on their ATVs to go explore.

When they returned from venturing up through the ponderosa pine and juniper forests, in search of their fishing spots, they saw another campsite down below them was beginning to be filled. A few tents were going up here and there, but the group below seemed to be pretty quiet. It was of no consequence though; the camp sites were far enough apart that it wouldn't matter, even if they did get rambunctious.

He and the other two guys got their fire started and cooked up some brats. Nothing tasted better than meat cooked over an open flame, well almost nothing. He laughed at his own mischievous thoughts, and chased his brat with a beer and then another. It was doing him good being up there in the crisp mountain air, he had been working himself far too hard. A weekend to unwind and relax was just what he needed.

Night came, and the fire roared. The group below seemed to be having a decent time, as there was the echo of laughter occasionally making its way up to his site. He was lost in the flame, trying to figure out how his life had gotten off track. He wasn't happy, and had been working too many long hours in order to fill his time and avoid the inevitable ...
