Breakdown Chapter 13 Maria's Undressing Room

Maria's Boutique was on the small side and had several salons where different types of outfits were displayed. After identifying herself the sales person Joan asked if she wanted sport, clubbing or leisure clothes. Because the ensemble she was wearing was on loan, Terry first looked over the clubbing assortment. She quickly selected a beep blue mid calf leather skirt and a silk buttoned blouse a half shade lighter. A white sleeveless turtleneck also was selected to go with the blue skirt. She quickly tried these on with Joan's assistance and was pleased to find they fit exactly. "Wrap these up Joan and give them to my Husband to put in the cars." Terry said "Now I'd like a similar outfit but in light brown faun color range.

After considerable looking Terry could not find any earth hued garments that were half as appealing as the loaner garments. Joan informed her she could just keep what she wore in, and her account would be charged for the value of the used items.

Terry went to the back of the salon to try the new things on and found another dressing room contained a second chair. Looking questioningly at Joan, the sales girl responded to the unasked..."If you wish your gentleman can relax here, and you won't have to leave the privacy of the room to show him your selection. I'd also like to show you a couple of unique gowns we have on special that would compliment your color." ...
