Maybelline - Chapter Two

As I nervously sat there waiting for Mabel to call me back with the details of the evening, I found it somewhat ironic. I was now pretty close to the age she had been when I'd first met her so many years ago. And she...was now the age that her husband Jack had been back then as well. At the time I had seen "Old man Jack" as just that, but I couldn't in any way shape or form see Mabel, as being an older Maybelline as I remembered her back then, or now. Sitting there at my kitchen table waiting for the phone to ring, I ran so many scenarios through my mind, I was beginning to get a headache because of it.
