[Author's Note: This is a follow-up to a story posted several months ago (the Old Guy) which is in the Archives. While this story stands on its own, it would be more fun if you've read the first one.]

"How in the hell did I get into this?" Shannon thought as she lay beside Abbie at the pool.. Six months earlier she had met Red, a man at least twenty-five years older than her, on a trip to Seattle. When she first met him she thought of Red as 'The Old Guy.' He changed her mind about that, showing her that experience was more important than age. Now here she was sun bathing next to his wife.

She'd been surprised when she'd seen Red coming out of a jewelery store in Hillcrest that Friday. She'd called out to him before she realized he was with his wife. The two of them were in Little Rock where he had to attend an all-day meeting with his board of directors on Saturday. They were staying in the home of a vice-president who was on vacation in Europe. Shannon's own husband was on a fishing trip and Abbie, the wife, had insisted that Shannon spend Saturday with her.

The woman was charming. Shannon was flustered. Red was no help. He just stood there with a grin on his face, as if trying not to laugh at Shannon's discomfort. So there they were, soaking up the sun while Shannon tried to ignore the fact that this woman's husband had fucked her brains out a few months earlier.
