The Interview

Kat was due at the Austin's the next day and George had taken both Kat and Kai over to the Austin's house. He waited in the driveway until Kat had an opportunity to talk to Victoria about Kai and to see if she wanted to allow her to work with Kat around the house as a possible replacement. "Of course." Was Victoria's immediate reply.

Kat told George that she would see him at the usual time and that it was okay to leave Kai there with her. Victoria would check her out during the day and make a recommendation to Mike when he came home so while George went to work at the mall the two women moved about the house while Kat cleaned and taught Kai what would be expected of her if she was to be employed with the Austin's.

Kai was a quick and willing worker and soon had moved into the swing of things. Locating where things went and making notes of what her duties would be. Things like shopping and other extra tasks would come about when they did. There was no way that Kat could prepare her for every thing but how the house was to be cleaned and how the beds were to be made were easy enough for Kai to pick up on.
