Tom scoured the crowded terminal, his eyes finally falling on the familiar face. It was October and the temperature was a tad on the cool side so he wasn't surprised to see her in a long dark coat. He approached her, trying to remain calm but inside it felt as though his heart would burst through his chest.

As he made his way through the crowd, he was amazed at how things had developed so quickly. He had only met Tabby, short for Tabatha, less than a month ago when she had come to town with her co-worker Richard, who happened to be good friends with Tom's older brother, Mike. Mike, a musician, had a CD release party. Once things had shut down at the bar, the party carried on at Mike's place.
