Jason was sitting on the sofa watching football when I got back from my faculty meeting. He was wearing a pair of sweat pants, his bare chest showing the soft musculature of a weekend-athlete. I kissed him on the top of the head as I walked past, heading to the kitchen for a coke. His hair was still damp from the shower he always took after working in the yard.

I asked.

"Good, " I thought. If it had been the Hawkeyes I wouldn't have a chance. As it was . . . I ran my fingers along the inside of his thigh and said, "I know someone else who wants to play." I think that's when he noticed my underwear lying next to him.

"Aren't you afraid my wife will come in and catch us?" he asked, getting into the game.
