Wales - the country of castles, mountains, rain and sheep, and there I was in the middle of it all, on a bus tour with 10 other people, plus a guide and driver.

We had been at it for a few days already and I found that I didn‘t really ‘click‘ with many of the other‘s on the tour. So I had resigned myself to see and learn the most I could about this wonderful part of the world. I did, however, feel an unexplained attraction towards the driver, Dave. A quiet Scottish guy who appeared to be uninterested in anything except what the next song was going to be played from his ipod. Dave was quite tall and solid with a short buzz cut, a look that normally attracts me, I do like a ‘real' man. Something new for me, Dave had a pierced tongue.... I was looking forward to feeling the impact of that!

I had tried several times to engage him in conversation only ending with my own frustration from hitting my head against the proverbial wall. I thought I'd try again one last night as I had nothing to lose and no one else on the bus was worthy of any attention. Besides, I was always up for a challenge!!

I had caught Dave's eye several times over the past few days and held it until he broke it off, which I'm sure was getting longer and longer, though alcohol could have had something to do with that. The more he drank the more interested he seemed to get. So maybe that was my way ...
