First, let me apologize.

I posted what I had written as a kind of personal "journal" in October of 2007, while I was recovering from my surgery in December of that year. (That would explain some of the errors in writing I saw re-reading my story, tonight.)

Life has been a whirlwind since then. I have wanted to finish my story. But, it has only been in the last few weeks that I have found the way, and the means, to tell it.

Part I

It was the night before Thanksgiving, 2007, and most of "The Crew" were coming to our place for Thanksgiving Dinner. "Woof", CJ and the kids were heading north to his parents' place. The rest were coming over.

It was going to be a big group, 9 adults, and up to 7 kids ... thanks to divorces, some of the kids were still up for grabs.

So, we were doing last minute straightening and "kid-proofing" before the turkey went on the smoker.

I was doing the Master bathroom. Something struck me as odd.
