“Do you know how fast you were going son?” Rob looked over to me with a look of frustration, and then looked back. “Maybe 60 sir?” The officer didn’t flinch, his sunglasses showing the reflection of Rob’s hair as he wrote on his little pad. “Try 85 son.” We had been caught, no doubt, but this was definitely going to hurt our wallets, and also hurt Rob’s insurance. We were both 19 at the time of the ticket, two best friends through high school and so far through college.
