"Oh Tim! You're the best!" My wife had said when I handed her the tickets. "I thought the gig was sold out, how did you manage?"

"I called in a favour from a client." I replied. "I was hoping to get into their box, but they could only give me standing tickets."

Simona hugged me.

"Standing's better, that way I can get closer to Dave Coughlan." She said with a dreamy smile.

Damned Mice were her favourite band when she was a teenager and I knew she had had a huge crush on the lead singer. When I'd heard they were playing in our town just after her birthday I knew I had to get hold of tickets. That proved easier to say than to do, but finally, with the help of the aforementioned client, I managed.

I suppose I should tell you a little bit more about us before I carry on with the story of how the concert turned into one of the most amazing nights of our lives.
