An Ultimatum for Jayden

"Come on Marcus," Jayden whined, sipping her Chardonnay. "Who else would I possibly have walk me down the aisle? My parents both passed on, there's no male in my life, hell nobody period in my life that I love like I love you."

Marcus had known Jayden since high school, then they'd attended Stanford together. Over the years their relationship evolved into a close friendship, but that was because Jayden preferred it that way. Every time Marcus tried to take it to another level he'd hear the same refrain.
