‘Fun time toys' ----- By Billy Jack

"Now don't you go buying a bunch of toys for the nephew and nieces," Jon told his wife as she got dressed to go to the party that her friend Sandy was having at her house. "That's why they got parents. Let them buy their Christmas for them."

She'd been to several Tupperware parties at Sandy's house, and a couple of cookware parties, but she couldn't see why she'd invite her to a toy party, especially since she didn't have any kids.

‘Hush up now Jon," Marti told her husband, "If I want to by the kids some toys, you know I will. Your harping on it won't stop me."

When Marti walked out the front door she could hear Jon mumbling about her going to spend him out of house and home. She hated the way he acted, like the money was all his. If he didn't shut up about it then she'd spend a month's pay on the toys, just to piss him off.

By the time Marti arrived at Sandy's most of the guests were already there. Sandy was the host of the party, so by her throwing it at her house she would receive free gifts, and then when the demonstrator started to show and tell about the toys, the more that was sold, the more free stuff Sandy would get. She hated these parties. Everyone was expected to buy at least one thing, it was a friendship thing. And ...
