With the Spanish temperature in the late 20's, there was always something about Spain that I found refreshing.... almost to the point that I still clung to a dream of one day moving to Spain and owning my own bar.

My love affair with Spain first began when I was 12 and went to the Costa Brava with my parent. Living in a pretty decent hotel, within days of arriving, I found a horse shoe shaped cove and beach in the Fenal's district of Lloret de Mar.

With a steep hill surrounding the beach and large rocks on the right hand tip of the beach, as I boy I sat on those rocks dreaming. With the warm sun streaming down onto my body, even at the tender age of 12, there was something about the whole place that made it feel like paradise.

As the years passed, my parents toured Spain as I found a new place to place in each new resort, a place I could sit and reflect, a place that seemed to quieten my mind and allow me to focus. When my dad bought his first apartment in Torreblanca a few kilometres from the main resort of Fuengirola in the south of Spain, I quickly discovered a small stone ...
