It was getting late on Friday afternoon. There were still far too many messages waiting on her computer. She had spent 10 years trying to break the glass ceiling and had finally accomplished this when she received the promotion to Senior Executive Vice President in change of Product Development. A long title but well worth the struggle to hold it.

Her personal assistant, Connie, poked her head in the office wondering if she could go home. Heather had totally lost track of time, it was 6:30 p.m.. “Sure, enjoy your weekend Connie” Heather said. Heather stood up from her custom leather chair and walked over to her personal wet bar. A privilege held only by Senior Executive level employees. The day had been so long that she had forgotten how tired she was.

“Bourbon, scotch, vodka or gin which one to choose...” was the thought that was running through her mind. Vodka straight up sounded the most relaxing. Heather was in mid pour when Tracy knocked on the office door. Tracy worked down the hall for regional product distribution. Although Tracy was not on the same rung of the corporate ladder as Heather, she was making a name for herself.
