We'd finished our workouts and since we were going out for lunch right away we thought we'd shower and primp at the club instead of going home. I'd been waiting 40 - 45 minutes when you said you'd only be 15 but I didn't mind. You are always worth the wait. I was comfy in the foyer reading the magazines and watching the people come and go. When you arrived you looked gorgeously radiant as usual. I stood and as you got closer I noticed there was something just a little different about the gleam in your eye and your smile.

"What?" I asked

"Let's go." You said. "We're late already. I'll tell you everything over lunch."

After an agonizing drive to the restaurant which felt like an eternity but was in actuality only about 10 minutes we found ourselves at our usual table in a corner. The noise in the restaurant was just sufficient to cover our conversation but not so much that we couldn't hear each other. The wine was ordered and I leaned forward so as not to miss a word of your story.
