The holidays flew by and Sara found herself at work after New Year's wondering where they'd gone.

She'd stuck to her plan and taken her days off, spending time with Anatoli and attending games when she could, and enjoying time with her parents. The exhibit had been still on her mind, and she had caved and checked a couple of things from home and called the office, but mostly she had left work at work.

Introducing Anatoli to her parents had gone more smoothly than she had hoped for. He'd been nervous but calm, and her parents had been patient with his English. Maureen had held her tongue, at least when Sara was there. If she'd said anything to their parents, it didn't seem to faze them.

"He's a sweetheart," her mother had said, making Sara laugh. "I like him a lot. I just hope he doesn't get hurt too badly when he plays."

Her father had liked him as well. "Maureen should mind her own business, ...
