The Board Meeting. Another Fantasy office story. By Lady Grey.

Averill attends her first board meeting, a revealing experience, and remembers her previous evening entertaining a client.

Friday was to be the Annual General Meeting at Bowman and Lang's. During the week, both Averill and Stephanie had been kept busy preparing the papers for the board members: the annual report, the financial statement, and all the other information required for the meeting.

Averill had now been working on the top floor at Bowman and Lang's for three months, and she really enjoyed her new position. More than that, she also enjoyed some of the positions that both Carl and George required her to adopt during their daily meetings.

She had quickly realised that cooperation was the key to success, and she had become a willing and enthusiastic member of the third floor. She had quickly found that her willingness and enthusiasm paid big dividends in her monthly salary cheque.

Like last night: she had spent the night with a client called Elliot Colby at George's request. Elliot was a number one account at Bowman and Lang's. He was in oil and had several large refineries on the coast. Bowman and Lang's was at the moment dealing with a pollution issue for him and things hadn't been going too well. So the old man had ...
