Chapter 2 By Will Buster

Senator Robert Lee Pierce was fuming. He could not believe what he was witnessing in the Senate chamber. These morons were actually considering granting a large portion of the governmental defense contracts to the Chinese growing industrial complex. No wonder it was expanding in leaps and bounds! Hundreds of billions were leaving the United States on an annual basis headed straight into what Pierce's father would have called the yellow peril.

Pierce was a young looking forty with dark brown hair, knowing gray eyes and a slim build. The recent campaign against the incumbent republican had been almost like a blood less war. They'd tried to find dirt on him but he'd kept his slate clean. That was one of the reasons the electorate had responded so favorably. He practically destroyed his adversary with the brutal facts and a relentless logic that was so powerful that the former senator, Ed Bakely had actually cut the debate ten minutes short. Nobody had ever seen that before. Not even old timers who still vaguely recalled tricky dick and the JFK debate. However, he was appalled by what he was seeing because even quite a few of the democrats were in favor of handing over a chunk of the U.S. defense contracts over to the crafty Chenks. Well he had to try. He finally got permission to speak.
