Going on holiday without the wife was a new experience for Ben but on this occasion he had agreed that a couple of weeks break would do wonders. Margery, his wife, was going to spend a fortnight with her sister in Scotland and Ben, after a great deal of thought, had booked ten days in a hotel in Denmark. He'd heard of tales of single and married women being always available if you knew how to go about catching them; the only problem he had was that he had no idea how to go about it although he would be very happy to find someone, the sexual side of his marriage to Margery was not very good lately, that being one of the reasons for this separation.

Room number 622 turned out to be rather small but had all the necessary facilities, two nice beds that could be folded away to make more space, a very nice shower room and a large port hole that, at that moment, was giving him a nice view of the sea outside and the hills surrounding the fjord. Deck 10 was the promenade deck open to the sky for half of it and the rest being an indoor lounge with good views all round.
