FRIDAY

We turned due north, following Highway 75 straight towards Loveland, Ohio where Kathy lived. I took a little more time that day due to our proximity to her home (300 miles), the great time we'd made on the day before and the fact that this would essentially be the day we said ‘goodbye'; something neither of us were exactly looking forward to. On the other hand, I was looking forward to getting back by Saturday night and having a day to unwind before returning to work. But when we were just over an hour from our destination, the bike began to act up enough that I knew I needed to stop and check it out. Even though I had Roadside Assistance, we somehow limped it into a dealership (Man ‘O War Harley Davidson) outside of Lexington, Kentucky. When they told me it was definitely an electrical problem, I called Bruce and gave him the scoop; he told me not to worry since I was at a dealership they'd fix me up. Then he told me to hand the phone to the service guy; long story short, Bruce gave them his credit card and told them to put the bill on it, no matter what it took. ...
