About six months ago our dear friends and next door neighbors -- Don and Patty -- were forced to suddenly move out of town. Don had been with the same company for about 20 years, but their local plant was closing and he was going to be without a job. He had been offered a new position within the company if he wanted it. The only catch was that it would be in Milwaukee. In other words, that meant four hours away.

Don and Patty thought about it for a while, but they really had no choice. Patty worked as just a part-time receptionist. Don made a good living with good benefits, and at the age of 49 was only five or six years from retirement.

Obviously one of the main obstacles in such a tough housing climate was going to be to sell their home. The company needed Don to start immediately, and agreed to help him with his mortgage on his house while he tried to sell it, as well as providing he and Patty with a townhome in Milwaukee.
