This is the rewrite of a story I wrote over 4 years ago and as been updated.

The Story of Aaron Part 1

The thought of having to go crawling to Aaron and ask him for help was the last thing I ever wanted to do, but now things had gone as far as they had. He was my last resort. Aaron was my husband's elder brother; and he was the senior partner in the family's highly successful law firm.

The reason for my problems was that last week I had a call from our bank manager telling me that if Alex did not sort out his debts and get some money into our account in the next few weeks, he would have no option than to foreclose on our mortgage. Losing our home would be the last straw, something I didn't want to happen.

Since his accident Alex had not been able to work. That meant although we were still getting a wage, we were not getting any commissions and commissions made up probably two thirds of our income. So for the last nine months we had been living well beyond our means. He kept on telling me that when he got back to work everything would be all right, but he had had a recurrence of his problem. The doctors would not allow him to return to work, and even I could see he wasn't capable.
