The noise made Rob looked up from his coffee as he sat at the corner table. He heard the chairs scraping on the floor as she threaded her way towards his table, her shoulder strap briefcase knocking into people as she squeezed through the crowded café.

"I'm so sorry to be late" she smiled at him with big eyes pleading, "Had a case meeting that just took too long and was worried you might have given up on me and left". She held out her hand for him to give a handshake. It felt warm and soft. As she sat down he slowly assessed her. She was tall and slim, a real zipper and not normally his type. Smart styled medium length brown hair that looked shinny as silk. A neatly made up face with the right amount of make up. Dressed perhaps as he had expected a lawyer to dress, in smart well cut black suit, dress not too short, enough to show off her long legs and an expensive looking white blouse.

"You should not have worried Lyndsey, I would never have done that" He smiled in a reassuring way. "Let me get you some coffee, what would you like?"

"Oh, I'd love a cappuccino, thanks" Rob got up and walked over to the counter.
