My First Limo Ride Part 2

It was a very odd feeling taking those 20 or so steps, from the door of the studio to the door of the waiting limosuine. The assembled paparazzi, knowing stars would be leaving through that exit throughout the evening continually filled the darkness of the parking lot with the rapid firelight of thier flashbulbs.

The chauffer that had been waiting by the car swug the back door open quickly, allowing Reba and I to escape the small throng of reporters that had surrounded us.

After sitting down and taking a deep breath, I looked around and realized what I had been missing. There was a lush velvet interior on the walls, the carpet on the floor was thicker than any I'd ever seen in any house, and the leather on the seats was so smooth, I felt as if I was sliding off whenever I moved.

Reba climbed in behind me, after explaining to her chauffer about dropping me off at my motel on the way back to the airport. The chauffer got behind the wheel, started the engine, and like a long black stallion, the limo rolled to life and began making its way off the lot and into the flow of downtown traffic.
