My new company had a darts team that had to include one female member, being Jenny, and four men. However, on this particular evening, Jenny had personal things to take care of at home and so I volunteered to stand in for her. The guys on my team, none of whom I'd yet gotten to know sexually, were: Chris the team captain, Ray, Gordon and Tim.

Arriving at a local pub (where I knew the landlord intimately) around 8pm, for the game scheduled to start at half past, the other side arrived at 8.30.
