"Not another fucking party," I yelled at Sandy, my girlfriend of nine months. "You just threw one two weeks ago. I'm tired of having to deal with the damn drunks."

"You love them and you know it," Sandy yelled back. "Jim, will you just give me some leeway? You know I have a lot of friends, and they like to get together. Hell, everyone brings their own bottle, so it won't cost us much."

"The cost isn't the issue," I said as I finally started to calm down. "Who cleans up the mess after the party? Me and you, that's who. No one offers to help. Why don't any of your friends have parties?"

There was no sense going on with the argument. I knew I wouldn't win before I started. Besides, she was right, I do enjoy the parties. The only bad part is that it is hard to stay faithful.
