Early Tuesday morning, Lyn only had coffee, declining an early breakfast, claiming that her stomach can't handle food before at least nine--she preferred ten or later. She went out the garage when I opened the door to leave. I stopped the car, rolled the window down, and told her to call if she hit any bumps she couldn't handle and that I'd try to help. I finally wished her a good unpacking day before leaving the alley and another day of educational drudge. My morning was equal to watching a cow chew its cud under a shade tree. I was on my way to the faculty lunchroom when my cell jiggled my pocket. I viewed the screen, saw it was Markey and answered. "Hey, Marks! Where are you calling from today. Still enjoying your exotic travelling, you lucky girl?" I laughed.

She grunted, and then growled, "At the airport in San Fran waiting for my flight to San Diego. I hit a lucky streak and won my battle here with having to pony up only twenty-percent of the special finish-out. Now if I can only pull the same deal in San Diego and Phoenix, the trip will be highly successful. However, it's damn tiring waiting at airports. How's things at home?"

"Not much change, same old, same old, and just boring without you around to bug me. The only news I can deliver is that we have a new backyard neighbor in the Gallagher house. It's nice to see activity and lights ...
