Last Sunday, when I went to use our outdoor Jacuzzi, the motor that generates the bubbles stopped working. Having told Eric, my husband, about it, he assured me he would get it repaired; however, and like so many other things, when I went to use it two days ago, it hadn't been fixed.

"Eric, I thought you said you would see about getting the Jacuzzi repaired for me," I earnestly appealed to him, in the hope that he would attend to it.

"I did, I mean, I contacted the repairmen and they told me they were awaiting the parts it needs, until then, well, you'll just have to make do without the bubbles," he said.

"Yeah, but, that's just like a normal bath," I rejoined, and went off in a sulk.

"Don't mope, Sandra. Tell you what, I'll join you," he enthused. ‘Hm, I wish he'd join me in bed every once in awhile,' that's another thing that needs fixing, I say to myself.

"Okay, then," I agreeably replied, hoping the closeness of being in the tub would translate to a similar closeness in the bedroom, or somewhere. Nevertheless, it didn't, leaving me yet again unfulfilled as his dutiful wife. ...
