Zach is Appointed to a State Medical Board

"Doctor Saltz, Sorry to interrupt you, but you have a call that the lady said was from the Governor. Can you come take it?"

"Anne, did you recognize the voice? Why would the Governor be calling me? It must be a joke, but I'll take it."

I waited for the phone to ring two times when the distinctive voice of the Governor came on the line and said, "Zachery, This is Morris Pennman calling to inform you that I have received a recommendation from the state medical board chairman that I appoint you to an existing vacancy on the board. Chairwoman Dean assured me that your research and teaching credentials are outstanding. I am inviting you to meet with me on Thursday at two prior to the board meeting. I will accompany you to the meeting and introduce you to the members of the board and present you your appointment certificate. I assume you are interested in the position?"
