I looked nervously around the office. My presence in the waiting room of the sumptuous office was the result of my recklessness. It couldn't have been at a more inappropriate time. The call for the meeting had come while I was at a kitty party with friends. I had tried my best to avoid the meeting , pleading for time , saying that , I would make it the next day, but the man at the other end of the phone was insistent. The door to the office opened and a middle aged man looked out .

Mrs Pooja Choudhary? he asked.

I looked up and nodded at the older man. I stood up from the couch.

"Come right in, Mrs Choudhary" he said.

Even with my heels on, he towered over me . I walked past him and he shut the door behind him.

I sat in a chair in front of his desk and glanced up at him as he sat on the edge of the desk.
