Disaster Response Drill

This year was going to be different. Instead of just local First Responders, the county was going to be included in this years township drill. We were proud that we were going to host the event, and the exercise wasn't taken totally out of our control After all our township originated it. My responsibility was to enlist the help of volunteers to play the role of victims, then monitor their performance during the drill.

Advertising for those volunteers was through our local paper, and yard signs around town. I wasn't expecting the response to be so overwhelming, but it was. One particular applicant brought back exciting memories and piqued my interest.
