My story starts with the announcement from my best friends, John and Sandra, that they would be taking a 3 week holiday to celebrate their 10th Wedding Anniversary. I am 34, and John is the same age. In fact we met at college when we were on the same course together, and have been friends ever since. Sandra is 3 years younger, and an extremely attractive blonde; John had done well for himself there! My own love life had got off to a slow start, but I married a sexy redhead at 29 and was perfectly happy, up until she was tragically killed in a motoring accident 3 years ago. It took me a while to get over her loss, and while she will never be forgotten, I am pretty happy with my lot these days. I have a good job at an accounting firm and a nice house, all paid for thanks to my late wife's life insurance, and things are just ticking over nicely. John and Sandra asked me as a close friend, to pop into their house a few times while they were away and look after things- pick up the mail, water the house plants, and generally keep an eye on the place. They left the following Saturday, and the majority of the first week passed by uneventfully, but it was on calling at their house on my way home from work on Friday evening that things started to change....
